Billie Joe, the youngest of 6 children, was brought up in a working class family. They lived in Rodeo, California.
His mother, a waitress and diehard country music fan. His father was a truck driver and also a part time Jazz musician who
died of cancer when Billie Joe was only 10. As a child, Billie Joe would sing at hospitals to cheer up patients. He recored
his first song "Look For Love" at the age of 5 for a locally based Fiat Records. The 1st album Billie Joe ever bought was
Elvis Presley's The Sun Sessions. Not long after a few friends (Mike Dirnt) got him into punk bands like TSOL, DOA and The
Dead Kennedy's. Billie Joe got his first guitar a blue stratocaster that he still plays to this day, at the age 11. When he
was 14, he wrote his first song, "Why Do You Want Him." Billie Joe is also the partial owner of the Independant Label, Adeline
Records.
